10/19 Third Thursday Wine Tasting

Hello All:

Welcome back to the “E-Wine Newsletter” where I keep you up to date on the latest news on our unique wine inventory at Equinox botanical boutique. As always thank you for your feedback and readership. You can always contact me at chicagogumbo@gmail.com.

First, I’d like to thank all of you for stopping in and sampling the Sangria we made. I can give you the basic recipe, but... it was a lot of improvising on my part. There is a reason I have a degree in Jazz Trombone to begin with. Somebody must do it. All I can say is it is a work in progress, and I would be happy to share it with anyone who stops by the shop. And yes… this is an action statement. Which leads me into the next paragraph.

This week is our “Third Thursday Wine Tasting” from 5 pm to 7 pm. There’s no registration or fee required. Just come and be ready to sample some of the wines we have brought in for the Holiday season. This week we’ll focus on some of our Italian wine selections that are sure to enhance any gathering you have this season. As always, we strive to try to bring in selections from mostly women owned, or women wine making wineries. But the most important thing is that we keep things biodynamically produced, organic, and true to the Equinox philosophy. For example: We have an Italian blend from Tuscany called Tua Rita. It is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. It makes a great addition to a good wine flight during that meal with friends and family.

Also, be sure to check out our line of pastas that will complement the wine, or visa versa. Remember that Curzio is at the Kenosha Public Market every Saturday and has a knowledge of pastas, as well as facial skin care.

Stay tuned! I will be roasting chestnuts again this Holiday Season and suggesting wine pairings at Equinox during the season on Saturdays. It all starts on November 11th for St. Martin’s Day. We might even experiment with Sangria heated with mulling spices.

Live Life Now,

Dave
